Bitlocker is an anti-theft application running on University workstations carrying a barcode (the six-digit number found on a white sticker affixed to the PC).
The most common way to clear away a Bitlocker Recovery Key prompt is to check for the following:
- Remove any USB storage devices, then reboot the PC.
- Remove any disc within the CD-Rom drive, then reboot the PC.
