1. Press the Home/Back button
2. Navigate to Settings and press Play ▶ button to select
3. Navigate to Common Settings and press Play ▶ button to select
4. Navigate to Reset/Format and press Play ▶ button to select
5. Navigate to Format Built-in Memory and press Play ▶ button to select
6. Player will ask if you would like to "Delete all Data" -  Select Yes

The internal memory is now fully formatted and any prior data has been erased.
