How do I install GlobalProtect on a University-imaged computer?

Follow these steps to download GlobalProtect without needing administrative access:

  1. Click on the Windows Start Menu.
  2. Select "Loyola Software Links."
  3. Choose "Software Center" from the list of options.
  4. Locate "GlobalProtect" in the list of applications and click "Install."

Why doesn’t GlobalProtect recognize my antivirus software on my Windows PC?

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Configure Windows Defender by following the instructions here: Windows Defender Configuration Guide.
  2. Allow a few minutes for GlobalProtect to recognize the changes.
  3. If a third-party antivirus product is installed:
    • Uninstall the third-party antivirus software.
    • Reboot your computer.
    • Ensure Windows Defender is configured as described in the guide above.
  4. Reconnect to GlobalProtect and verify access to LUC resources.

Why does GlobalProtect display a pop-up message about firewall or antivirus requirements?

How do I verify my account has access to Loyola Secure Access (LSA)?

  1. Access to LSA is automatically granted to Faculty and Staff upon hire.
