Not Receiving New Emails?

If you are not receiving new emails, it may be due to forwarding or inbox rules set on your account.

  1. If you did not create the rule, reset your password immediately to protect your account: Reset Your Password.
  2. Log into your Loyola email account at: Loyola Email Login.
  3. Check for any “suspicious” forwarding, inbox, or sweep rules that may have been created without your knowledge.

Sending email from Sakai

  1. Emails sent through Sakai are not saved in a "Sent Items" folder like personal email accounts.
  2. There is no record of outbound messages in Sakai.
  3. Messages sent via Sakai cannot be removed or retracted.
  4. ITS cannot delete messages sent through Sakai.

Why am I not receiving emails from professors via Sakai?

Emails sent through Sakai may be marked as junk because they are sent from postmaster@sakai.luc.edu, even though the sender's name appears as your professor. To ensure these emails reach your inbox:

  1. Log in to your email at https://outlook.luc.edu.
  2. Click the gear icon at the top right.
  3. Type "block" in the search bar and select Block or Allow.
  4. Locate postmaster@sakai.luc.edu in the blocked senders list and remove it.
