How Do I Prepare for the Relocation of a Computer or Printer?

Before relocating a computer or printer, faculty and staff requiring physical relocation assistance should:

  1. Open a Facilities Service Request for their respective campus via the Facilities website.

Note: Facilities will only move items placed in a box (except for network printers that do not fit). If you require assistance reconnecting your hardware after the move, contact the IT Service Desk to request support.

How Do I Reconnect Computers and Printers After Relocation?

After the relocation of a computer or printer, if you need assistance reconnecting your hardware, submit a Service Request via the ITS Service Portal.

How Can I Print Using a Home Printer While on GlobalProtect?

Home printers connected to your home wireless network will not function while your PC is connected to GlobalProtect. This is because, while on GlobalProtect, your computer uses Loyola's network instead of your home network.

To resolve this issue, perform one of the following options:

  1. Disconnect from GlobalProtect briefly and print.
  2. Set up your printer using a USB cable connection to avoid needing a network connection.
