How Do I Request Access to the IRB Network Drive?
Health researchers and students who require access to the IRB network drive must include their IRB number when submitting a request. Submit your request through the ITS Self Service Portal or contact the ITS Service Desk via email at ITSServiceDesk@luc.edu or by phone at 773.508.4487.
How Can I Access the IRB Drive While Off-Campus?
You must connect to LSA using GlobalProtect before accessing the IRB network drive. Instructions for using the GlobalProtect client are available on the GlobalProtect VPN Instructions page.
How Do I Map the IRB Drive on a Windows PC?

Click the File Explorer button.

Right-click on This PC and choose Map Network Drive...
- Set the drive letter to
R:
and in the folder field, type the server ip address provided.
- Before clicking Finish:
- Check the box for Connect using different credentials.
- Ensure Reconnect at logon is not checked.
- Click Finish.
- When prompted for network credentials, use your Trinity login:
- Username:
LUHSADS\YourUsername
or trinity-health\YourUserID
- Password: Your Trinity password.

Click OK. The drive will now be mapped.

Note: You must use your LUHSADS user ID (which may be the same as your LUC user ID) and password. If you do not know your LUHSADS password, contact the Medical Center Helpdesk at 708.216.2160 or visit the Trinity Helpdesk.

- Click Map Network Drive from the submenu.
- Choose an available drive letter.
- Enter the full network path of the drive in the Folder field.
- If prompted, enter your UVID and password.
- Check the box for Reconnect at Sign-in.
- Click Finish.
How Do I Map Network Drives on macOS?

What Should I Do If I Am Locked Out?
If you cannot access the IRB drive, remember there is no IRB-specific ID or password. Authentication requires your LUHSADS domain account.
