Loyola University Chicago offers several methods for file sharing and storage, tailored to different use cases. Below are the available options and their specific benefits:
How to provide one-time access to files for a select group of users:
- Use Loyola Secure Transfer to attach up to 15GB of files.
- Share them via a secure email or download link.
How to share business material with other University employees using a Network Drive
- Use shared Network Drives assigned to your department or team.
- If a new shared Network Drive is needed, submit a Service Request: Network Drive Request.
How to share business material with other University employees using SharePoint

- Add additional site owners and group members as needed.
- Add the files you want to share
How to share files for business or personal use using OneDrive.
- Log in to OneDrive at portal.office.com.
- Upload the file(s) you want to share.
- Right-click the file and select "Share."
- Enter the email addresses of the recipients and set sharing permissions.
- Click "Send" to share the file(s).
NOTE: OneDrive files are owned by the individual. When the owner leaves, the files will be removed and anyone with access will lose access to those files. If you want others to retain access, they need to save the files to their OneDrive before the owner leaves.
