Overview

LOCUS (Loyola's Online Connection to University Services) is the central hub for students, faculty, and staff to access and manage a wide range of university services. LOCUS is an integrated web-based portal connected to the student information system, enabling users to interact with academic records, financial data, and personal information. It also allows faculty to manage courses and grades, and students to enroll in classes and track their academic progress. With various access levels for students, faculty, and staff, LOCUS provides the tools necessary for academic and administrative tasks.

Key Features

  • Student Services: Students can enroll in courses, update personal information (addresses, phone numbers, preferred name), and access academic records, financial information, and more.
  • Financial Management: Students can view financial statements, make payments, request official transcripts, and set up installment plans.
  • Course Enrollment: LOCUS allows students to browse, select, and enroll in courses each semester, while also enabling them to review course schedules and prerequisites.
  • Faculty Services: Faculty can access teaching schedules, enter grades, manage class rosters, and update their personal information such as preferred name.
  • Staff Services: Staff can view and manage student academic information, including class rosters and biographical details, and update their own information as needed.
  • Parent/Guest Access: Students can delegate access to parents or other guests, allowing them to view financial information, make payments, or set up payment plans.

Cost

Access to LOCUS is free for all Loyola students, faculty, and staff. There are no additional fees for using the portal or any of its services.

Availability

This service is provided at no additional cost to eligible* individuals or departments, as it is fully funded by the institution.
