Class & Event Technology Support

Overview

Classroom Technology Support (CTS) provides assistance for electronic classrooms and learning spaces across Loyola University Chicago’s Lake Shore Campus, Water Tower Campus, and Health Sciences Campus. CTS ensures that faculty and staff have access to the necessary technology and support for effective teaching and presentations in these spaces.

Key Features

  • Comprehensive Room Support: CTS maintains and provides support for a wide variety of technology-equipped classrooms, ensuring each room is outfitted with the necessary tools for instructional needs. This includes audiovisual equipment, computer setups, microphones, projectors, and more.
  • Virtual Room Tours: Faculty and staff can preview classrooms with virtual tours, familiarizing themselves with each room's specific features and layout before teaching or presenting. These tours help to identify the placement of equipment, power outlets, and access to controls.
  • Technology Instructions and Guides: CTS offers detailed instructions and guides for using classroom technology, including step-by-step documentation for equipment setup, troubleshooting, and operation during lectures and presentations.
  • Advanced Technology Integration: Some classrooms are equipped with cutting-edge technology like interactive whiteboards, video conferencing systems, and advanced sound systems, which CTS helps faculty integrate into their lessons.
  • On-Site and Remote Assistance: CTS provides both on-site support and remote troubleshooting options, allowing for immediate help in-person or via phone/email to resolve any technical issues that may arise during class.
